The main creek on the property usually flows calmly from the spring-fed pond, connecting to yet another creek that flows near the north edge of the property.  There are granite waterfalls here and there that make for a peaceful sound as the water trickles over the stone.  However, after the sun warmed the snow that fell heavily the night before, the creek swelled and rushed violently over the rocks.
