Ingredients:

• 4 cups water

• 16 cups sugar

Preparation:

1. Add just the water to a saucepan.

2. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

3. Once the water comes to a boil for one (1) minute, remove the saucepan from the heat.

4. Slowly add the sugar to the water, stirring as it's being added.

5. Continue to stir the water / sugar mix until all the sugar is dissolved.

6. , stirring occasionally.

7. Boil 1 minute or until sugar dissolves.

8. Remove saucepan from heat.

9. Let cool for 30 minutes.

Note:  You may use the simple sugar immediately for recipes such as Southern Sweet Tea or you may refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
